Fixing Things in Version 2.0

by Aug 27, 2019

MinHub Youth is getting it’s first real update after about a year of hold-ups on multiple fronts. Kurt, one of the creators of MinHub Youth, explains some of these situations and provides context in a video below.

In case you just want the short version, here are the summaries of the major points:

The short version update for MinHub Sync: New ministry sync accounts will be created for all MinHubSync subscriptions which will initially require the youth pastor to upload data from one device (or start from scratch by deleting the app and installing straight from the App Store). Data from an initial upload will populate all other devices connected to that sync account with the new sync credentials. Version 2 of sync is much more stable and has a path forward for us to add features.

The short version update for Android: Our app was blocked from the Play Store back in January in a sweeping move by Google to block apps that automate text messaging. As we continue to appeal to release an updated version that adheres to guidelines, we are temporarily releasing a crippled free version of MinHub Youth on Android that cannot send messages or make calls, but will be able to connect to version 2 of MinHubSync.

Hopefully this will all make more sense here in this video:
