MINISTER ANYWHERE
Portal connects your people.
While your pastors, staff and volunteer leaders utilize ministry specific MinHub apps to track ministry data and send out communication, your congregation can install MinHub Portal for free and connect with your church ministry leaders.
Connecting via Portal creates a chat thread directly with the corresponding ministry leaders, allows congregants to update their contact information as needed, and even browse and sign up for small groups right in their Portal app.
Portal comes a subscription service unique to each ministry app and can be purchased along with your sync subscription at minhubsync.com.
MinHub Portal is currently available in the US, Canada and the UK.
More countries to come.
Unlimited messaging.
Portal users can chat directly with any ministry and any connected ministry leader can communicate.
Learn More
Instead of creating one-to-one messages that rely on a single person to always be ready to communicate, chat threads are created between individual congregants and the ministry they are connected to.
In the Youth, Kids and College apps, any logged-in leader can see and respond to the chats. In MinHub Groups, groups with multiple leaders allow any or all of the leaders for their specific groups to follow up on questions and reach out proactively.
This creates less strain on any one ministry leader and provides space for healthy, private conversations to take place with built in accountability since other leaders can see the conversations.
Announcement videos.
Embed YouTube videos in your announcements so your people can see your promos on device.
Learn More
If you are creating video content for promoting events, recapping sermons, event highlight reels, or even sharing some other encouraging content, every announcement can include a YouTube video.
People on iOS will see the video right in the announcement and Android users can tap a button to open the video in their YoutTube app.
External links.
Link to any website from your announcement for people to quickly access additional resources.
Learn More
Your announcements can include a link to any website.
Ministries use these to attach and direct their people to more info on your site, a Facebook event, a conference registration, an Eventbrite link, Bible study resources, and the list goes on and on.
When it’s easier to just post a link, add the link and be sure to include some text to point people to tap on the link.
Small group sign ups.
Allow your congregants to browse and sign up for small groups right in the Portal app.
Learn More
When creating small groups in the Groups app, your leaders can choose to open up sign ups in the Portal app with a publicly available description of the app.
When someone requests access to a group, the leader of the group gets a notification and can grant them access to the group or decline access while relaying a message about why they can’t get in the group.
Once someone has been granted access, they can see the private details of the group (like if the exact address of the group isn’t shared publicly), chat with their group leaders, receive announcements and even join other groups.
Send announcements.
Take up less time during gatherings on announcements and post straight to your people.
Learn More
Instead of fighting spam filters, promotion tabs, open rates, and deliverability, create announcements with images and links right in your ministry app.
Announcement posts show up right in your congregants Portal chat feeds where they can tap to view more info, visit links and respond right in their chat.
Ministry leaders also have the ability to unpublish announcements when events have passed or update announcements as details change.
Small group leaders can post announcements straight to their groups, while Pastors and other Portal admins in the Groups app can post announcements to the whole church.
Event RSVPs.
Attach events to announcements to allow people to RSVP right in their Portal chat feed.
Learn More
For events that require some sort of sign up or registration tracking, you can use Event RSVPs to track those that are interested in attending simply by attaching an Event to an Announcement.
Each response can be marked as a Yes, No or Maybe and include a note with the registration in case you need to collect additional information.
After recording responses, you can also text or send portal messages to everyone in each category of response. For instance, you can check with all of your Maybe responses as the event approaches to see if they are able to attend or not.
Push notifications.
Notify your people of new announcements and about updated information.
Learn More
When you post an announcement, notifications go out to your people who are connected on Portal.
Sometimes, there is an update to the information that is in the announcement. When you go to the announcement and update the information, you can choose to send an additional notification so that people will be aware of the updated information.
More to come.
We’ve got lots of plans to make Portal even greater. If you’ve got ideas, please chat with us in the corner.

As the Covid-19 pandemic spread across the world this spring, it became glaringly obvious that we, the church, needed better communication methods and the ability to gather on our own platforms rather than relying on free services that may or may not actually surface our communication efforts.
We built Portal to make it super simple to get information to your people quickly and update that information as things change.
We’ve got lots of ideas for what to add to announcements like polls, built in Yes/No type responses, other media types like sharing videos and audio, and eventually the ability to register and pay for events or even tithe straight in the app.
If you’ve got ideas on how to make Portal perfect for your church, please just chat us in the corner and let us know how to improve this tool.
