We are proud to publish version 1.3.0, the first Universal version of Youth Ministry Tracker MinHub Youth. Now when you purchase or update YMT MinHub, the app will show up in the correct native version on each device.
Creating the iPad interface took more consideration than just scaling it correctly. We worked hard to make sure that each action makes sense on a larger, more versatile device.
iPad users now have many more students on the attendance screen, the ability to rotate between landscape and portrait, and more uncluttered information on the student pages.
With more screen real estate to work with, we built it so that you don’t have to drill in and back so often, but can quickly access multiple parts of the app.
Both iPhone and iPad versions now also include the ability to drill in to view and edit student data when tapping the eye symbol to quick view.
Since the addition of auto-layout features in iOS 8 which is Apple’s way of dealing with so many screen sizes, the Universal iPad/iPhone version will only be an upgrade that is eligible for iOS 8 users. If you would like to continue to get YMT MinHub updates, you will need to be running at least iOS 8.0.
Once you get your hands on the update, we would love to hear any feedback in the comments.
While I downloaded the app a while ago, I just recently launched the use of the app about 3 weeks ago. As a youth pastor, I LOVE IT. As students, they LOVE using it. My volunteer youth staff….., they are sad that I can’t get it on their device. So far it has been working very smooth, with a few small bumps. 1. The iCloud syncing can be very slow. This means that if I have one of my leaders taking attendance on an iPad, I cannot see the updates on my iPhone for quite some time, even hours. 2. The nickname field is a pain. I understand the intent of the field, but most students put silly things in it and it makes more work for me to go in and correct each record. 3. It would be VERY COOL to be able to send a group text to those student IN ATTENDANCE at any given event. This could be used to send game clues, alert them of an emergency, or call them all back to main worship. 4. I would love to have an iPad or two mounted in a KIOSK type format for kids to check themselves in. Is a Kiosk mode in the future?
We love the app, and have just implemented it in our youth group in the past week. We love it, the students love it, so thankful that its exists! But we have one big problem – the app crashes CONSTANTLY and we are constantly having to re-enter new students. I am currently trying to edit the attendance on our last event. I have tried over 10 times and can’t get past checking off one extra student, and then when it crashes and I relaunch the app it has forgotten that anyway. I’m not sure if this is our problem or the app’s problem. I would be happy to reinstall, but then I think I would loose all the students in my database. I can’t even send a feedback email without it crashing, so I’m posting here! Any help would be awesome!
Hi Rachel. So sorry about the crashing. Send us an email at support@youthministrytracker.com and Lori will get it fixed for you. Thanks for reaching out!

Thanks so much for your quick reply! Love the app a tonne, and super keen to get it working properly 🙂
Same thing…try to go back and edit attendance…app crashes…help! I like the suggestions that Neal had…great ideas!
Hi Jonathan.
Thanks for reaching out. If you had over to the More tab and click Report a problem, it will generate an email with your device and app info that might help us pinpoint the problem. Add this description of the problem again and Lori should get back to you soon.
Sorry about that.

Mine is doing the same thing! Crashing every time I attempt to edit attendance.
Are you guys planning on adding more calendar repeat options? Such as the ability to repeat “first Wednesday” of each month? We have repeating events and it would make life a ton easier. Other than that this has been an amazing app. Wish there was also a way to force refresh the iCloud sync. I understand that it is an iCloud issue not a YMT issue. Thanks for the awesome support.
